What is Webex? VNC vs Webex?

This is a questions that i've been asking few days ago. I never use it when i was in my college time. Now when i'm in the workforce, i always heard about my seniors asking who is using Webex. Well, apparently, the name appears to be a website application. At first i thought it was some sort of email or mailing application. Wrong, which it was the worst guess i made.

Webex allows you to initiate a connection to remotely control another pc located elsewhere. It is somehow similar to the VNC application. Both requires you to install software first prior to using it. The very obvious difference is, VNC is free and Webex cost money.

I've been using Webex for sometime now. It provides an extensive features where those features may not be useful for now, but might be useful to you in future. You can have a try on it for 14days free trial period. IT's worth a try.

Do remember, both, VNC and Webex requires high bandwidth in order to ensure smooth transition of process. I would not recommend you to try it on pc with 128kbs connection or lower. It works good to me even i'm on 512kbs.
