Free FTP Client: SmartFTP
Smartftp is a free software from a company called SmartFTP GmbH, located in Switzerland. The software has got few awards from various place. It was a nice ftp client software that allows you to transfer files through ftp.
The latest version, SmartFTP 2.0 Build 996 offers better graphical user interface. I just started using it and all i can say about the software is, the software is developed for user in mind. It's really user friendly. Not much things that you need to go through in order to use the program(you need some basic knowledge of FTP tho). It provide an instance update of the transaction whereby you can track how the transfer is going on.
However, one thing i still don't manage to figure out is that I'm not able to resume back the file transfer if in any situation the line disconnected. But this doesn't bother me much as i can just re-initiate the transfer of the same file/folder and SmartFTP will check if the files has exist in the server side. If returned true, user will be prompt to confirm if overwriting the file should continue. If no is selected then the server will skip those files that has already exist in server, uploading files that are not exist.
You are given the full control over the interface look. You can set any unrelevant window to hide if you does not need it. This gives you a cleaner look.
