Largest LCD screen

Technology do getting more advances!

LG Philips said the new television screen was 1.5 times larger than the 82-inch LCD panel developed by local rival Samsung Electronics last year.

The 100-inch LCD panel offers high-definition picture quality without distorting video signals, it said.

"Our development of the 100-inch LCD panel reaffirms that LG Philips LCD is the global leader in large-area LCD technology," Yeo Sang-Deog, an LG Philips executive vice president, said in a statement.

LG Philips, one of the world's major LCD screen makers, is a joint venture between LG Electronics of South Korea and Royal Philips Electronics of the Netherlands.

South Korean and Japanese firms are competing for a larger share of the world's growing large flat panel market.
