Error message "Error downloading codec"; Codec Serial: C00D10D1

I encountered the error message above, which is what my windows media player state. I right clicked on the movie listed on the list located on the left and select "Error Details". Then, hoping to know more on the details of the error, i clicked on "Web Help". My IE browsed to Microsoft website where i got a detailed error message stating:

You've encountered error message C00D10D1 while using Windows Media Player. The following information might help you troubleshoot the issue.

Codec is missing
Windows Media Player cannot play the file (or cannot play either the audio or video portion of the file) because a required codec is not installed on your computer.

The missing codec might be available to download from the Internet. To search for the codec, go to the WMPlugins.com Web site.

I followed the link to wmplugins.com and luckily, "Codec Found" page was displayed. There's a site to download the codec, which i obviously download it. Then follow with installation. After the installation, i head over to the folder where i install the program.

As for my case, i installed it in C:/program files/XVid. As usual, i'm lazy when it comes to reading manual. So, i skip the part on how to use it, and i execute AviC.exe.

There are two listbox, FourCC desciption code and Used codec. I've selected XVID for both values, and hope to try my luck. Then browse the movie file that caused the error message stated above. Clicking on apply, and try again to play the movie. Yes, it's work now. ;)
