Doodle says, "It's St. Patrick's Day"

This is the doodle for the day. As you can see, when you rollover the picture, you'll get a tooltip of "St. Patrick's Day". I dont know whois St. Patrick, so to clear my curiosity, i clicked on it.

As usual, i was brought to a list of relevant websites. Then i saw St-Patricks-day.com and clicked on it. Here's an excerpt from the website..
